Google announces ‘Android’ but no gPhone

Google, yesterday announced ‘Android’, a new Linux and Java based OS for phones but didn’t say anything about a physical gPhone. I’m very disappointed because I think it would get competetive towards Apple’s Iphone. I guess Apple will continue to rein on the cell phone market for now. One thing I do like, however is the fact that Google is distributing this to cell phone makers such at Motorola (Apple and Blackberry aren’t a part of this list) making a bigger market than the Iphone. Also this software is going to be mostly open unlike the Iphone in which it is definitely closed. I’m interested to see how successful this will be. My guess is it will probably fail. I was hoping for an actual physical phone.

Apple being stubborn on Iphone

There are now requirements to purchase an Iphone now. Apple is no longer accepting cash for Iphones and they limit only two phones per person. The only way you can now buy an Iphone is if you pay using plastic (Debit or Credit Card). This pisses me off even though I’m not really into the Apple thang. If I was part of Apple I would allow you to buy as many of them as you want. Even with cash. Why can’t they just take the money? Who cares if someone puts it on ebay or unlocks them?? Is this a huge problem that must be stopped??

This mini fridge operates off of 5volts and includes a little LED light on the inside. You can buy this neat one-can fridge for $33.
